Combining her love for music and acting Taryn Manning will be appearing as herself, a singer/songwriter, in the third episode of The CW's Melrose Place airing Tuesday, September 22 (9:00/8:00c). She plays a singer whose music video is directed by aspiring filmmaker Jonah (Michael Rady).Taryn in fact has been in the studio working on material for her upcoming solo album. With only two tracks completed, buzz is already starting to build as "So Talented", the first song written for the album with producer Linney (Darkchild Entertainment) will be featured within the episode.
Aside from her solo efforts, Taryn is the lead singer of the band Boomkat, with her brother Kellin. The band released their sophomore album A Million Trillion Stars earlier this year and recently released their latest single, "Stomp", co-written by Mike Elizondo (50 Cent, Gwen Stefani, Pink, Jay Z).
