MxPx front-man, Mike Herrera, and his hit pop-punk-a-billy side project, MIKE HERRERA’S TUMBLEDOWN, are releasing the second single off of the band’s debut self-titled album through End Sounds. The “Butcher of San Antone”, has already picked up radio airplay in markets like Louisville and Wilmington, DE and with the new official release is expected to continue with its already paved momentum. In support of the album and new single, the band will be embarking on a co-headlining tour with John Nolan of Straylight Run, starting in Seattle on August 29.Their twangy first single, “Homeward Bound”, has received spins on specialty radio across the country in Seattle, Denver, Des Moines, Detroit, Omaha, and Amarillo. Proving the reach and demand of the band’s sound, a Japanese version of the album was recently released on Bullion Records.
Herrera has been writing country music since 1998, and claims some of the industry greats as his influences; songwriting legends as Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, and Bill Monroe. MIKE HERRERA’S TUMBLEDOWN captures the punk rock energy of MxPx, while also displaying the soulful experiences of Herrera’s travels along the lonely, open road.
MIKE HERRERA’S TUMBLEDOWN out of Bremerton, WA consists of Herrera as songwriter/lead vocals/guitar, lead guitarist Jack Parker, standup bassist Marshall Trotland, and drummer Harley Trotland.
